The machine
Chop Deck is a sampler and sequencer that runs in your browser. Without an account, everything you make stays on your computer. You can use it for anything, including music you sell, with no fee and no attribution.
Accounts
An account exists so that your work can follow you between browsers and computers. You must be 13 or older to make one. You are responsible for what is done with your account, and you can delete it at any time from the account page, which removes your project, its earlier versions and the sounds only you uploaded.
Your sounds and beats
You keep every right to what you upload and make. By storing it in your account you give us only what is needed to store it and give it back to you. Nothing is public unless you publish it, and when publishing arrives it will ask you to choose a licence each time.
Upload only audio you have the right to use. If you believe something on Chop Deck infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@chopdeck.com naming the material and the page; we take infringing material down and may close repeat offenders' accounts.
Fair use of the service
Each plan has a storage quota, shown on the account page. Do not use the service to store things that are not Chop Deck projects, to attack the service or other people, or to get around the limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
No warranty
Chop Deck is provided as it is. We work to keep your data safe and the service up, and we keep the last twenty versions of your project, but we do not guarantee either. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: the account page and SAVE mode both export a .CHOPDECK file that holds everything.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the account page will say so before you next sign in.
